LOUISVILLE KY TO CLARKESVILLE ARKANSAS

Today we drove from Louisville Kentucky to Clarksville Arkansas and made two site seeing stops along the way. The first one was to see Loretta Lynn's Ranch and Plantation Home in Hurricane Hills Tennessee. It was fun to actually see it in person because I have seen it on the travel channel before. The Plantation House is supposed to be haunted but we weren't able to go in because it is closed for the season. It was still fun to see it anyway.

Steps going up to the house with Loretta's name and her hubbies name.

Me standing in front of the gate going in to the house.

A replica of the house she grew up in. Built in honor of her mother and father Mr. & Mrs. Webb.

Drinking coffee at the Loretta Lynn's Family Diner. We also enjoyed our lunch there - yummie!
From Hurricane Mills TN we drove to Nashville TN and went to see the Grand Ole Opry. For some reason it wasn't quite what we expected - it was big and very commercial looking. We thought it would be a little old theater downtown Nashville on a Main Street or something but it was a big old complex. Oh well we've seen it anyway which is cool. Here are some pics we took.

Well that's it for today. Like the title says we are in Clarksville, Arkansas which is about 70 miles east of the Oklahoma border. We are traveling on Interstate 40 instead of the 10 because there doesn't seem to be any weather problems so far.
Love to you all,
Bonnie & Glen
