FIRST OF THE SEASON

Today we went on a hike to National Falls and discovered that we were the first people of the season to hike the 1/2 mile trail to the bottom of the falls.  Switchbacks all the way and plenty of snow to tromp through.  Once down at the end of the trail we were rewarded with beautiful sights.
The reason we know we were the first hikers of the season is because on our way out we ran into a Ranger and she asked us about the trail and whether or not it could be hiked because she was getting lots of people asking about it.  Thankfully we didn't stop to ask and just blissfully drove on through some of the snow on the road with our brother in-law Wayde's four wheel drive truck.  Here are a few pictures of our journey.

This is a picture of Glen and his sister Nancy.
So as you can see, being first of the season was a real treat.
