181 DAYS, 25 WEEKS or SIX MONTHS

No matter how you figure it days, weeks or months, 6 months went by way to soon!  Now we head back to Michigan from California.  To say it past to quickly is an understatement!

Our time here was spent as follows:

October/November we stayed at Evergreen RV Park in Oxnard, California.  There we had our friends Adela and Manny Sotelo come to visit as well as Bertie and Bob Chadwick.  We visited with family and spent Thanksgiving with our son and Daughter In-law Linda Marie.  My Sister Carol and bro in-law Steve also came for a visit as well.

December was spent partly in Port Hueneme on the base, in San Luis Obispo and Three Rivers.  At Fort San Luis Obispo we camped with my Sister Denise and Bro In-law Mike Kelly.  While in the area we went to Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo, and Pismo Beach where I met my friend Sharon Oliver for lunch one day.  We also spent Christmas with my Mom Flora and her hubby Dave.  Denise and Mike were also with us.  I hadn't spent Christmas with my Mom in many, many years so it was real special.  New Years Eve was spent with my Sister Denise and her hubby Mike as well as a motley crew that they meet with each New Years Eve while camping in Three Rivers.  It was fun and we were honored that Denise and Mike invited us.  All the folks were warm and welcoming.

January back to the base in Port Hueneme.  We spent the month here and had a very uneventful month which was nice.

February Cathedral City at the Palm Springs Oasis RV Park.  Spent the month of February in Palm Springs area and really enjoyed ourselves.  We played golf, and had visitors Ken and Lori Gonzales and my Sister Denise and Bro In-law Mike.  We also went to see the Palm Springs Follies which btw is in its last season after playing continuous for 20 some odd years.  So it was special.  We also celebrated our 43 anniversary - my how time flies when you're having fun.

March in Ventura at the Ventura Beach RV Resort.  Beautiful park but boy oh boy was it NOISY!  The very busy 101 was right out our front window and the noise was 24/7.  Needless to say we will not be going back there.  Couldn't stand all the noise even though everyone was nice and the park was well maintained.

So it's been fun but now its time to go, sad though we are, we'll be back in September.  Cheers and happy trails to you all.
