A BIT OF OLD ENGLAND
We finally made it to see the London Bridge in Havasu City Arizona. It's only been there for 42 years!
It was originally built in 1831 and spanned the River Thames in London England. Once it became unsuitable to modern day traffic it was sold and torn down. A real estate developer bought it and brought it over to Havasu City in 1968 where it was reconstruction and finished in 1971. He goal was to attract people to the area because Lake Havasu is virtually in the middle of no where. It work! The place is now snow bird heaven in the winter, and during the summer it's packed with boaters and families.
I'm glad I saw it, but I wouldn't go back LOL.
Cheers and Happy Trails.
